CVS itself is a very exciting topic for software developers. The author of Essential CVS fails to reflect this in her discussions. Bei der Vorbestellung dieses Buches war mir bereits klar, dass ich hier nicht mit einem Format ähnlich der Hauptreihe "Eragon" rechnen kann. Aufgrund meiner tief verwurzelten Begeisterung für alles im Alagaesia-Universum und der angegebenen 300 Seiten konnte ich aber nicht auf den Kauf verzichten, da mich der Inhalt natürlich brennend interessiert hat.Die drei Kurzgeschichten sind gewohnt gut geschrieben, durchaus spannend und sehr kurzweilig. Im Prinzip also eigentlich keinerlei Kritik daran, das ist genau das, was man anhand der Buchbeschreibung erwarten durfte.Ncht erwarten durfte man allerdings eine exorbitant große Schriftgröße, extreme Seitenränder und unnötig hohe Zeilenabstände. Beim Aufschlagen der ersten Seite ist mir reflexartig ziemlich laut ein "oh Gott, nein" entfahren, als ich die Formatierung gesehen habe. Ich untertreibe dabei nicht - als ich nach der ersten Kurzgeschichte das Buch weggelegt habe und danach mein Smartphone gecheckt habe, dachte ich zuerst, die Optik dort hat sich umgestellt, weil alles so verkleinert dargestellt wurde. Es hat erst einmal einige Sekunden gedauert, bis mein Oberstübchen geschnallt hat, dass sich mein Fokus aufgrund der überdimensionalen Schriftgröße im Buch umgestellt hat.Unabhängig davon ob die Geschichten nun gut sind oder nicht, das geht einfach gar nicht. Hier sind nicht die Drachenreiter auferstanden, sondern die Raubritter. Ich fühle mich um mein Geld betrogen. Und es tut mir wirklich weh, so etwas bei einem Buch mit Bezug zu Eragon zu schreiben.Es ist mir schleierhaft, wie hier in 5-Sterne-Rezensionen vollmundig empfohlen werden kann, die negativen Bewertungen einfach zu ignorieren. Diesen Preis habe ich für viele andere Bücher mit über 600 Seiten bezahlt. Hier zahle ich das für effektive 150 Seiten (in einer "normalen" Formatierung gerechnet).Klare Empfehlung: wenn ihr die Möglichkeit habt, leiht euch das Buch nur aus. Diese völlig überzogene Gewinnmaximierung muss man nicht auch noch durch einen Kauf aktiv unterstützen.Edit: Vergleichsfoto hinzugefügt, links das genannte Buch, rechts "Der lange Weg zur Freiheit".

Als Liebhaber der Eragon-Reihe und mentaler Alagäsiabewohner finde ich das neue Buch toll, klar es ist nicht sonderlich lang und ja, Eragon und Spahira sind eher Nebenfiguren aber an alle die hiervon enttäuscht sind: reist euch zusammen, denn das war von vorne herein klar! Paolini meinte selbst, dass er sich auf andere Aspekte konzentrieren will. Außerdem ist der Anspruch dieses Buchs eben der, eine Kurzgeschichtensammlung zu sein, nicht ein neuer Eragon-Roman. Punkt. Wer damit nicht leben kann, soll das Buch nicht lesen und vor allem keine schlechten Rezensionen geben, da das Buch genau das tut was es tun soll. Ich kann auch nicht eine Orange schälen und dann sauer sein, weil kein Apfel zum Vorschein kommt. Also an alle die einfach wieder etwas Eragon artigen Erzählstil und Einsicht in die gesamte Welt Paolinis wollen, legt euch das Buch zu und entscheidet selbst. :)

Ich bin Fan von Eragon seit der ersten Stunde. Aber dieses Buch ist keine würdige Fortsetzung. Kurz gefasst: Das Buch ist für das Geld zu dünn und vorallem ist die Schriftgröße und der Zeilenabstand ein Witz. Liebe warten bis man das Buch für ein paar Euro hinter her geworfen bekommt. Ganz klar keine Empfehlung.

Das Buch liest sich gut (und schnell).Als Eragon Fan ist es einfach toll die weiteren Ereignisse nicht seiner Fantasie überlassen zu müssen. Es stört auch nicht, dass Eragon nicht der Dreh und Angelpunkt der Geschichten ist. Wäre der Preis dem geringen Umfang angepasst, wäre alles bestens. So drängt sich der Gedanke an Geldmacherei auf.

Vorne weg: ich bin riesiger Fan der Reihe.Um erst einmal ohne Spoiler das Buch einzuschätzen:3 Kurzgeschichten, rund um verpackt mit Eragon und Saphira, wobei der Anteil an den Beiden deutlich zu kurz ausfällt. Spärliche Informationen über die neue Heimat der Reiter, wollen wir mal hoffen, CP lässt sich da noch Potential für was größeres.Zu den Kurzgeschichten: Gerade die ersten beiden Kurzgeschichten lassen viele Geheimnisse offen, vor allem die kurzen Auszüge über Angela treffen ihren Charakter mMn gut, aber lassen noch mehr Verwirrung aufkommen als vorher.Die letzte Geschichte, wo es um den Wurm des Covers geht hat mir sehr gut gefallen, vor allem diese Lehre die man am Ende daraus zieht.Fazit: Schön, mal wieder was von CP zu lesen, wird aber wohl auf absehbare Zeit nicht um einen großen Band erweitert werden. Viele Fragen bleiben offen, was mich besonders quält, da eben in nächster Zeit nichts kommen wird.Trotzdem haben mir die Kurzgeschichten in der Art und Weise wie sie geschrieben worden sind gefallen und haben mir Spaß bereitet.Aber 18€ für die paar Seiten? Das ist schon etwas übertrieben.Für Blut und Feuer hab ich 26€ bezahlt, hatte ein 3D Cover inklusive Stammbaum und ein Buch, was bei kleiner Schriftgröße viel viel mehr Seiten besitzt.Würde ich nur eingefleischten Fans empfehlen.

Ich hatte gehofft es würde mehr auf Eragon und Saphira eingegangen. Aber die zwei werden eher Randfiguren. Der größte Teil des Buch wird mit 3 Kurzgeschichten ausgefüllt. Die Schrift ist extra groß dadurch kommen soviele Seite zusammen. Wäre sie normal groß wäre das Buch deutlich dünner.
