Ich bin seit 10 Jahren Make-up Artist und bewerte dieses Buch als unbrauchbar. Die wenigen Seiten mit den Produkt Erklärungen kann man sich mühelos im Internet runterladen und die Make-ups diesbezüglich sind stümperhaft gemacht. Zu Halloween habe ich Laien gesehen, die das besser geschminkt haben.Es werden 3-4 Frisuren thematisiert, die absoluter Schwachsinn sind, weil Haare toupieren kann jeder.Die kompletten Masken und Special Effects hingegen sind viel zu aufwändig und nur teilweise erklärt - es fehlen Teile der Herstellung, aber das ist ein Alter Hut bei solchen Büchern.Das Buch wirkt wie ein Magazin und ist sein Geld mit Sicherheit nicht wert.

Ich nehme das Buch immer wieder gerne in die Hand wenn ich nach Inspiration für einen Larp Charakter oder an Halloween Suche. Das Buch beginnt mit einigen grundlegenden Techniken was das Schminken betrifft, darauf folgen Tipps für die Gestaltung von Wunden. Für den Einsteiger ist hier aber allmählich Schluss, denn im weiteren Verlauf werden richtig aufwendige Masken beschrieben und, was ich besonders gut finde, es wird auch auf etwaige Stolpersteine eingegangen.Weniger hilfreich ist, dass einige der beschriebenen Materialien hierzulande quasi nicht zu bekommen sind und man sich selbst auf die Suche nach passenden Alternativen machen muss.Trotzdem würde ich das Buch jederzeit wieder kaufen und kann es jedem weiterempfehlen der sich ein bisschen mit Maskenbildnernn beschäftigen möchte.

Tolle Bilder und Anregungen. Probiert habe ich noch keine Maske. Es ist alles in Englisch und ich muss mir zuerst ein Projekt suchen und dann erst mich hineinlesen. Auf jeden Fall hat sich der Kauf für mich als Visagistin gelohnt.

Das Buch zeigt gute Einblicke in Maskenbildnerei und ist auch für Laien sehr interessant. Techniken werden kurz und knapp erklärt. Wegen mir könnten sie etwas ausführlicher sein. Besonders gefällt mir, dass das Buch "DIY" Alternativen zeigt, so dass man sich teures "Werkzeug" nicht unnötig kaufen muss und lieber in Materialien investieren kann.

Er staan heel wat voorbeelden in die amateuristisch overkomen of niets te maken hebben met FX.Was veel beter geweest met meer gedetailleerde uitleg over prosthetics maken.

Eine Sammlung hübscher Bilder. Die Konzepte sind sich nett auszusehen, aber in jedem Youtube Tutorial lernt man mehr. Für mich war das BUch Geldverschwendung.

Nachdem das Buch längere Zeit vergriffen war, ist es nach Vorbestellung und längerer Wartezeit endlich angekommen. Tolle und teils ausgefallene Beispiele führen in die Welt der Special Makeup FX ein. Fast schon für Profis, und das für den günstigen Preis...

Das ist wirklich ein super Guide zum Schminken von Special Effects Make-Up. Schöne Bilder, mit viel Liebe zum Detail, genaue Anweisungen zu einem super Preis :)
